I don't like talking to people. I’m an introvert who dreaded finding bookkeeping clients. My first client was a friend I had known for 20 years.
I really had to step outside of my comfort zone to “sell” myself to potential clients. Much to my surprise, I soon found myself enjoying the process. I learned how to speak about bookkeeping with confidence—and I genuinely love being a lifeline to business owners. This passion began to shine through as I chatted with people.
Figuring out how to get clients has truly changed my life. I was able to quickly reach (and exceed) financial goals. And, the flexible nature of my business allows me the perfect work-life balance.
